I did my own research and discovered Canine Kidney Health. I sent for the starter package and immediately started using it. I also cooked her own food with using the greens and other fresh vegs that was suggested in home cooked meals.

It is a great program, and if you are thinking, hesitating about using it, please don't. I talked to Helen on the phone quite a bit. In fact I think I became a pest. But they are always very helpful explaining how to use the products and will always return your calls. I forgot to mention that my vet was not onboard with this program. As a lot of vets, they know nothing about nutrition. That is what this program is all about. Herbs, supplements, greens and homemade food. I have learned so much this past year about dog food, please everyone if you can make your own food for your fur baby, do so. It is the best and nutritious and you know what they are eating. Taking him off kibble and putting him on a raw diet did wonders. So much so that our dermatologist vet told me that whatever I was doing, I should keep doing it because his coat looked so good and Harvey was so healthy.

I ordered the kidney package and followed all the protocols, diet and tinctures and dog greens.

We are writing this review on behalf of the best dog in the whole world. Buddy.

5 Leaf info and reviews changed our attitude and gave us focus. We ordered the full 5 Leaf package. We immediately started the cycles and changed his diet.

For his food, we used the beef and rice recipe from the 5 Leaf booklet. Instead of the chicken jerky treats he used to get, we cut slices of peeled sweet potato and baked them for simulated jerky treats (sliced at ¼” and baked 3 hrs at 250, flipped halfway through). Buddy liked the sweet potato a lot but didn’t take to the beef and rice recipe right away. Especially not with the greens mixed in. We had to back off the greens to get him to eat it.

This continued for 3 cycles.

We also switched his watering to just distilled water. We upped his exercise as well.

We have already been recommending 5 Leaf to other pet owners and will continue to do so.
